Children's ministry
Nursery
Children newborn through 2 years old enjoy what the church kids lovingly call "the fun room." Our dedicated staff and volunteers love and care for our littlest church family members during the morning worship service, Sunday school, Wednesday evening church, and events at church.
Elementary
Students ages 3-11 gather in two groups (pre-K - 1st and 2nd - 5th) for children's church during the sermon and for Sunday school. On Wednesday nights these groups gather again for a time of fellowship and discipleship. Our desire is that every child who goes through the children's ministry at Christ Church will leave prepared to live as a follower of Christ, who, "...in [their] hearts honor Christ the Lord as holy, always being prepared to make a defense to anyone who asks [them] for a reason for the hope that is in [them]; yet do[ing] it with gentleness and respect..." 1 Peter 3:15
The focus on Sunday mornings is "head and heart", teaching and worship. The focus on Wednesdays is "hands" as we learn to serve others together. Wednesday night projects have included building birdhouses for Hospice of the Upstate, making blankets for New Foundations, packing boxes for Operation Christmas Child, and providing and stuffing Easter eggs for the Foothills Alliance.
