"Bring the full tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. And thereby put me to the test, says the LORD of hosts, if I will not open the windows of heaven for you and pour down for you a blessing until there is no more need."
- Malachi 3:10 ESV

A Movement of Everyday Generosity

It’s amazing to see God’s creativity, love, and generosity on full display each and every day. Our church family generously gives their time, service, talents, and treasures through so many acts of worship, and we invite you to join us in our movement of everyday generosity!

Whether it be praising with our worship team, donating and transporting goods to the shelters and communities in need, volunteering at local Christian organizations, teaching withe the Good News Club in elementary schools, joining our prison ministry team, serving as Sunday School/Children’s Church volunteer, or any other of the various outreach opportunities. Each and every act of generosity matters and helps change the lives of others. Everyone’s gifts and service are acts of worship that truly bring us all closer to our Creator!

Tithing

Tithing is a way to honor God by recognizing that everything we have comes from Him. Proverbs 3:9 – “Honor the Lord with your wealth, with the first fruits of all your crops.” At Christ Church EPC we use these tithes to not only support the ministries of this church, but also to give to other ministries within our community and missionaries around the world. If you would like to participate in tithing to provide for these ministries, you may give online through Venmo by clicking the “Give Here” link.

Giving FAQs

Most frequent questions and answers

As a church, we believe that we are called to respond to the generosity of the gospel by giving extravagantly to the progress of the gospel in our community and world. Biblical generosity is not about meeting budget needs. It is about a rich and trusting relationship with a living God. We express our faith and love to Him by honoring Him as the source of everything we have. Scriptural giving is performed with regularity, from the first portion of all we are given, as a proportion of our income, cheerfully, and without pressure or manipulation.

Tithing is our starting place in giving. The Bible teaches us about a baseline standard for giving: the tithe (a word that literally means a “tenth”). When we give the first 10% of our income through the local church, we put God first in our lives. Tithing is an act of worship that expresses our gratitude, faith, and love for others. God also encourages us to give offerings beyond our tithe to specific projects at our local church and to other organizations and causes that we personally believe in.
